The Marlborough white horse is relatively small. It is 18 metres high and 21 metres long. It was cut in 1804 by the pupils of a boy’s school and is featured in a verse of the school song : Then we’ll cry “Thank God my lads The Kennet is running still And see the old white horse still pads Up there on Granham Hill
