Broome, the pearl capital of the world, wouldn’t be here if it was not for the pearling
industry and the pearling industry wouldn’t be here if it was not for Roebuck Bay which was
formed millions of years ago. The town still keeps traces from those ancient times and
dinosaur tracks can be seen at
Gantheaume Point
, eight kilometres north of the city.
