Magdalene College was founded in 1428 under the name of Buckingham College. It acquired its present name under Sir Thomas Audley, Henry VIII ‘s chancellor, who also gave the college its motto : “Garde ta foy”. ~~ Magdalene College fut fondé en 1428 sous le nom de Buckingham College.
